F1 Monaco Grand Prix: History of celeb attendees and who is likely to be there for the 2023 race

The Monaco Grand Prix is finally here, and Formula 1 has officially arrived on the Cote D’Azur. The unique course is probably the most famous course on the bill of Formula 1 races, with people travelling from all over the world to attend the prestigious event.

The circuit located on the streets of Monte Carlo holds a special place in F1 history as one of longest standing races on the schedule with the first Monaco event taking place in 1955. The track is known for its narrow streets, tight corners, and lack of overtaking opportunities, which make it a unique and exciting challenge for drivers. And great viewing for fans.

The race has gone on to become somewhat of a pillar of pop culture, and has featured in a number of series and movies. Most notably, the race course featured in the Marvel Cinematic Universe film Iron Man 2. In the film, Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey Jr, actually partakes in the race but it doesn’t take long for his antagonist to intervene forcing Stark to save the day.

Because of this, the race has become a prestigious event and often boasts a guest list packed with some of the richest and most famous celebs in the world. The list of celeb sightings at the event is endless and includes repeat attendees such as Heidi Klum, Naomi Campbell and many more.

The fans of F1 are spread across the world, and even include some of our favourite celebs like the Princess of Genovia herself, Anne Hathaway. At the 2023 Met Gala, Hathaway approached Red Bull driver, Daniel Riccardo. In the Allure video, the Devil Wears Prada star confessed that she is a ‘huge fan of F1’ while smiling at the Aussie heartthrob.
