It was all supposed to be about Prince Harry as he arrived for Day Two of his High Court case against the Mirror Group Newspapers. However, for some reason, albeit briefly, East-17 star Brian Harvey stole the headlines from him.

Why? According to Sky News, Brian Harvey, “has turned up at court where he is making quite the scene, using colourful language and shouting loudly about corruption. He told me that he too was a victim of phone hacking and the media was "a joke.”

Those of you who are unfamiliar with Brian Harvey, he was part of the pop group East-17 who were very popular in the 1990s. They were most famous for their hits such as ‘Stay Another Day,’ ‘House of Love,’ and ‘Steam’. Other members of the band were Tony Mortimer, John Hendy and Terry Coldwell.

However, his time in the band came to an end in 1997 when he was reportedly sacked after he made comments in a radio interview where he appeared to condone the use of ecstasy. Since then, Brian Harvey has experienced some very tough times in his life. Not only was he attacked in a nightclub in 2001, but he reportedly nearly died in 2005 after falling under the wheels of his Mercedes-Benz.

According to The Daily Mail, “He later claimed he wasn’t trying to kill himself, but had fallen out of the car as he was reversing, after eating too much that had made him feel sick.” The newspaper went on to say that, “In March 2021, Brian was arrested on suspicion of malicious communication-and posted the moment he was confronted by cops on his YouTube channel.”
