Our first hot for today is singing sensation Miley Cyrus. The child to adult entertainer, one of the few to achieve the transition and have success in both fields, has used her song Flowers to take a few choice words to her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth. The fact she's chosen to release the song from her latest album, Endless Summer Vacation, on Liam's 33rd birthday is something of a power move.

She sings, 'I can love me better than you can', a line which is repeated several times. Fans have delighted in the raw emotion and her clear references to Liam will obviously help her promotion of her new album which is released in March 2023. She's certainly a force to be reckoned with and has spoken out about how she doesn't like 'drama' or 'fighting' when she spoke about the end of her marriage. We wish her well on this next chapter of her life and the album will mark the end of this heartache, we hope, for her.

Our next hot for today is the daughter of Lisa Marie Presley, Riley Keough. The sad news of Lisa's death at just 54 years from suspected heart failure mirrors the untimely death of her father, the singing icon Elvis. Both father and daughter died from heart issues, and Elvis was just 42 when he died in 1977.

Lisa Marie's sudden passing comes just after her Golden Globe appearance earlier this week when Austin Butler won Best Actor for his role of Elvis in the film of the same name. Riley had said in earlier interviews of how her mum, Lisa, was her inspiration and had even instagrammed a photo from the Golden Globes saying how beautiful her mum looked.

It's rare in life to have a chance to tell someone how much you admire them and celebrate them and Riley achieving this by some fluke of fate just a few days before her mother's untimely death is very poignant.

Our last hot for today is Harry Styles as picks up a Brit Awards nomination. Styles is almost guaranteed to win artist of the year, after a career-cementing 12 months in which he scored both the UK's best selling-single, As It Was, and album, with his third release, Harry's House.

The singer is currently on tour in the US. He's kept himself grounded and was home with family during the Christmas holidays. We wish him well!

Our first not is US president Joe Biden, as reports emerged that two classified documents were found in two locations linked to Biden.

The documents, part of Biden’s time with the Obama administration, have immediately drawn parallels to the case of former POTUS, Donald Trump, who also had several classified documents on his private residences. We're not saying Biden is anything like in the league of Trump for investigations into conduct, but it does sound like a man who is maybe overwhelmed in the job.

Our next not for today is Cardi B, as she had images removed from her Instagram after being accused of copyright breaches.

The rap superstar has been in a legal dispute since last November with celebrated Italian artist AleXsandro Palombo who said she 'illegitimately appropriated' his 2013 'Marge Simpson Style Icon' work.

The I Like It Like That rapper posted a version of the Neo Pop artist’s original artwork, which she credited as being inspired by an iconic Thierry Mugler dress from 1995. Cardi, 30, did not comply to Palombo’s wishes that she remove the snaps, which she posted at Halloween. The Italian artist triumphed this week when Meta, who owns Facebook and Instagram, removed the photos. Yikes.

Our last not for today is Lee Ryan, the Blue band member. He has been found guilty this week of racially aggravated assault after drunkenly telling a black flight attendant, "I want your chocolate children".

The pop star, 39, was 'slurring his words and staggering around' after drinking a bottle of port before a British Airways flight from Glasgow to London City airport on 31 July in 2022.

He told police officers in an interview, read to the court: "I wish I could ring her up and apologise and offer her some Blue tickets for the next tour." The arrogance and ignorance is astounding. The woman who was racially abused, Leah Gordon, would probably rather not see, hear or have any reference to Blue for the rest of her life - rather than have some concert tickets from Ryan!
