Kim Kardashian has been serving looks since she secured her place at the forefront of popular culture in 2007, and demonstrated her somewhat serious side while trying to build her beauty empire.

Kim lip-synced along to UK rapper Millie B’s 2020 song ‘M to the B’ while applying thick makeup to take on the trending British ‘chav’ challenge on the app.

The video, which has been seen nearly 20 million times, was posted to Kim Kardashian’s personal profile as well as her shared account with daughter North, which already has numerous fun makeup videos posted by the nine-year-old - most recently a controversial clip where she was made up to look like her father Kanye West.

While some may suggest that Kim is following in her daughter’s footsteps, others have implied that North has skipped a generation and is acting as momager Kris Jenner to promote Kim’s humour.

Fans commented, ‘istg North forced her to do that’, ‘North took over Kris’ job’ and ‘Did North force you to do this’ implying that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree in terms of light-hearted makeup fun.

The power of Kim Kardashian’s humour could be felt on both sides of the pond as British fans loved the fact that the Skims creator sang along to a Blackpool artist and took on an English trend, in addition to Americans branding her video ‘iconic’.

In the video, many would have spotted Kim using a Kylie Cosmetics product to add to her ‘over the top’ makeup look cited as a dig at the 25-year-old, which comes amid an alleged row between the sisters who are often compared to one another.

The feud began earlier this week when Kim asked Kylie to tag her brand ‘Skims’ in a picture where she was wearing one of the bodysuits, to which the younger billionaire responded ‘I had to steal this from [Mum’s] house and now you want me to promote. Wow.’

Digs continued as Kylie quoted Kim in a recent post, commenting ‘Don’t be f***ing rude’ referencing her elder sister from season two of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Notably, although some may brand this as a competition between the two sisters, this could be also seen as lighthearted banter between the pair who have created hugely successful cosmetics and clothing brands respectively.
