Holly Willoughby returned as host of This Morning after weeks of speculation over whether she would comeback at all. The TV presenter has been on a family holiday in Portugal away from all of the Phillip Schofiled drama.

Holding her hand today to co-host the show all week was former Big Brother winner Josie Gibson although there is still a lot of discussion over who will replace Phillip permanently. The past few weeks Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary have presented the show. 

Phillip left the ITV daytime show after 21 years as the presenter and has since admitted to lying about an affair with a younger male colleague. Phillip spoke to BBC journalist Amol Rajan in a bombshell interview. 

Josie may be exactly what the show needs right now. Many fans love her bubbly personality and down to earth nature. She started working on This Morning in 2019 as a competition announcer. Then in 2021 Josie was called in at the last minute to cover for Holly when she was off due to sickness. 

Since then Josie has been a regular on the This Morning sofa and even presented alongside best friend Alison Hammond. The duo spent Christmas day together and have worked on special features for This Morning. 

Who is Josie Gibson? 

Josie rose to fame after winning Big Brother in 2010. The Bristolian, who had a relationship in the house with fellow contestant John-James Parton won over audiences and earned herself over 70 percent of the public votes - the highest ever. 

After winning the show Josie released a perfume and went on to be a regular showbiz columnist for OK! and Now magazine. 

Josie has collaborated with online fashion brand Very and outdoor wear Regatta.

The TV personality lost over six stone in weight and went from a UK size 20 to a size 8. She released two workout DVDs and became a qualified personal trainer.

Who has Josie Gibson dated and is she married? 

Josie dated John-James in the Big brother house, but the couple split shortly after leaving. 

Josie knew family friend Terry (whose surname is not publicly known) for many years and the couple kept their relationship private. During their romance, Josie suffered a miscarriage, but announced they were expecting in May 2018. 

Her only child Reggie James was born in September 2018 after going into labour prematurely during her baby shower. Josie allegedly broke her waters by slut-dropping in a dance competition with The Only Way is Essex stars Lydia and Debbie Bright.

Just four months after welcoming their son, Josie revealed in her New magazine column that the pair had split on New Year’s eve. She said “I never wanted to be a single mother, obviously, but there are things you can't let go. So I hope I will smash life as a single mummy. Lots of other women do it.

"He's got OCD and just after Christmas, he went mad about too many of my shoes being in the hallway. So I kicked off and said, 'Well, we'll go then!' and he went, 'Alright!' and bagged up our stuff."

Josie has been single since, but was linked to This Morning cameraman Sam Morter after she shared photos of the pair holding hands in Paris. As much as fans were hoping she had found love, Josie said they were just good friends.
