Not only do they sell luxury homes in sunny California but they live super luxe lifestyles too. Netflix stars Chrishell Stause, Nicola Young and Bre Tiesi wear the most glamorous clothes, live in the most stunning houses and basically live their lives in a way that some of us can only dream of.

So you would presume that the cast of Selling Sunset season six are paid more than most realtors. Well think again the cast members surprisingly don’t get paid a basic salary. That’s right, owners of The Oppenheim Group Brett and Jason Oppenheim only pay the ladies a commission based on the homes they sell.

However we aren’t talking about a basic two up two down Terrace house in England. The houses listed on Selling Sunset are worth millions of dollars so the commission will be quite a large amount of money lot compared to most real estate jobs.

According to US Weekly Chrishell has previously sold $15 million worth of homes in 2020 which gave her a commission of around $400,000 per year. A salary that we can only dream of. As well as that, Chrishell makes money from her Instagram page with an estimated $7,000 - $11,000 per sponsored post. The Selling Sunset star signed a lucrative book deal for 'Under Construction: Because Living My Best Life Took a Little Work.'

Chrishell - who recently married singer G-Flip - isn’t even the biggest earner on the show, season five saw Christine Quinn take the top spot. We will just have to watch all of season six to find out who will be the biggest earner this season.

Former Selling Sunset star Maya Vander previously told Metro that she gets a 5% commission and she went on to explain exactly how it works. She said “The 5% is split into half for the person who represents the seller and the person who brings the buyer, so you end up with 2.5%.”

“Typically for a brokerage, it’s about a 70/30 split. I would keep 70% out of the 2.5% and he would take 30%. And then we have to pay taxes.”

Although that doesn’t seem a lot, one of the homes we worked out said that if they sold the home for $75million then the commission for the sale would be $1,875,000 before taxes, still a nice amount to take home.

Selling Sunset season 6 is available to binge watch on Netflix
