Did Selling Sunset's Bre Tiesi’s split from ex husband Johnny Manziel taint her view of relationships?

Confession time, I have what many would describe as a somewhat eclectic taste in television and films. I love art house French cinema, I cannot wait to watch the BBC’s coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show tonight, but am also known to indulge in a little bit of Selling Sunset. I was taken in like millions of other people globally by the incredible million dollar Los Angeles and surrounding area homes that the glamorous agents from The Oppenheim Group show their wealthy clients.

However, what of course got me to continue watching were not the homes alone, but the agents themselves and their ‘interesting’ relationship dynamics. One newcomer who is already stirring things up quite a bit is Bre Tiesi, and her ‘baby daddy’ Nick Cannon who is not even featured in the programme.

Whilst I was watching it over the weekend, Bre Tiesi told her fellow ‘realtors’ that “I’m not a monogamy kind of person,” when she was quizzed over her relationship with Nick Cannon. She went on to say “Everything I’ve ever seen is divorce and people are unhappy, it ends badly and the kids suffer. Men can’t keep it together, it’s never us!”

Although Bre didn’t explicitly reference her ex husband, American football player Johnny Manziel, her comments over divorce and ‘men can’t keep it together,’ do seem to lead to him. Bre and Johnny split in 2019 after Bre reportedly accused Johnny of cheating on her. However, their divorce was only finalised in 2021 and Bre celebrated by throwing an all-girls divorce party in Miami.

At the time, Bre shared photographs from the party, she dressed appropriately in a black swimming costume with the word ‘single’ written on the back. She also posed for pictures next to a cake that read: ‘Divorced at last.’

When they split, Manziel told TMZ Sports that “I appreciate everyone who has been so supportive of both of us and I would just ask that everyone respect our privacy at this difficult time. My hope is to put my head down and be allowed to focus on work and what is required of me on the football field.”

According to the New York Post in April 2023, Kenzie Werner (Johnny Manziel’s current girlfriend), “said her Instagram was hacked after it was reported that graphic photos were posted to her page, accusing the former Texas A&M quarterback of domestic violence.”
