British actor Lucien Laviscount and French actor Lucas Bravo are to continue to set hearts aflutter in Season 3 of Emily in Paris

When I first heard about Netflix's Emily in Paris, I didn’t think it would be my thing. Granted it featured two of my favourite things, fashion and Paris (one of my favourite cities), but I still thought it might be a little too trivial for me.

I was wrong. I started watching it in lockdown and it became my favourite escapism from watching the news every five seconds. I am eagerly awaiting Season 3 (which starts on December 19) and I of course am eagerly anticipating seeing Lucien Laviscount and Lucas Bravo.

So who are the actors Lucien Laviscount and Lucas Bravo who play Alfie and Gabriel?

Lucien Laviscount is a British actor who first came to prominence when he appeared in the teen drama Grange Hill (oh how I loved Grange Hill back in the day). Since then he has starred in ITV’s Coronation Street, BBC One’s Waterloo Road and even competed in the eighth series of Celebrity Big Brother in 2011.

Lucien joined the cast as ‘Alfie’ in season two and became a new love interest for Emily (played by Lily Collins).

In an interview with Elle magazine, he revealed how excited he was to join the cast. “Walking on set the first day was incredible,”he said. “It starts from the top and it starts from Lily. Lily’s an incredible artist and she’s so humble in who she is and she knows everyone on set by name and she treats everyone with a level of respect that trickles down to the rest of the cast and the rest of the crew.”

According to Netflix, “Lucien Laviscount will charm ‘Emily in Paris’ for another season.” I can’t wait to see how their romance unfolds on Wednesday.

As if starring in the new series of Emily in Paris wasn’t enough, Lucien has also been busy off set.

According to Forbes, “the actor has actually just opened a ‘five star dive bar’ in London, The Wealthy Beggar, in partnership with restaurateur Zac Lichman.

Now onto, Lucas Bravo.

Lucas is both a model and actor and is best known for starring as Gabriel in Emily in Paris. He did however recently star in ‘Mrs Harris Goes to Paris.’

According to Glamour magazine, “Bravo was born in Nice in the south of France but says he moved a lot as a child because his dad was a soccer player whose career took him all over Europe.”

Lucas has often been referred to as the ‘hot chef’ in Emily in Paris as his character Gabriel is a chef, but the hearthrob label is not something he necessarily feels comfortable with. He told The Times that “I don’t want to be perfect. I’ve been working against that”

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Lucas’s character Gabriel, he is a chef who just happens to have a flat in the same apartment building as Emily.

He begins a flirtation with Emily and seems to often flit between her and ex girlfriend Camille (played by Camille Razat). It will be interesting to see if it is Gabriel or Alfie who wins Emily’s heart in Season 3.

Thankfully, we only have to wait until Wednesday (December 19) to find out.
