As the owner of Manchester City football club, one would assume that Sheikh Mansour has attended many of their football matches over the years, but this is not the case. According to The Independent “It will only be the second (competitive) game he has attended since his investment vehicle, the Abu Dhabi United Group, purchased City in 2008.

If he does attend the Champions League Final 2023 in Istanbul, the last match that Sheikh Mansour reportedly attended was in 2010 when he watched Manchester City beat Liverpool 3-0 at the Etihad Stadium. The Sheikh is expected to attend alongside City’s chairman Khaldoon al-Mubarak.

In 2022, TalkSport revealed that Mansour “is worth an estimated $22.9bn." According to Luxury Launches in 2022, Sheikh Mansour “is all set to take delivery of one of the world’s largest yachts. The billionaire owner of the Manchester City football club is said to have paid more than $600 million for the 525 feet long Lurssen built luxury yacht.

If Sheikh Mansour does see his team Manchester City (including the likes of Erling Haaland, Jack Grealish and İlkay Gündoğan) beat Inter Milan in the Champions League Final 2023, he will undoubtedly be watching football history. The Guardian reports that “Victory in Turkey on Saturday would also see them become only the second English side to win the treble, replicating Manchester United’s achievement in 1999, having already retained their domestic title and won the FA Cup.”

Khaldoon Al Mubarak, the Chairman of Manchester City, was appointed to the board in September 2008. As well as being the Manager Director and Group Chief Executive Officer of Mubadala Investment Company, he is also the Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, and serves as the Chairman of the Boards of the Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank and Emirates Global Aluminium. As well as being a member of the New York University Board of Trustees, he also sits on the Board of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company.
