Lionel Messi secures his status as the GOAT while Jeremy Clarkson’s daughter publicly criticises him after rant about Meghan Markle

Whether you are a football fan or not, it is impossible not to be in awe of Lionel Messi after his team Argentina won the World Cup. He deservedly takes top spot in PeopleWorld’s hot list today.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Messi’s story, he was diagnosed with a growth deficiency as a child, and had to inject himself with a hormone. Luckily for him, the treatment was covered by Barcelona when he moved to the club at the age of 13. Messi clearly did not allow this to define him and has gone on to become one of the world’s greatest footballers.

Next up on PeopleWorld’s hot list is Billie Eilish who has just celebrated her 21st birthday in style.

As expected, it looks like it was some party. Billie wore a Mrs Claus costume and attended her celebrations with boyfriend Jesse Rutherford. A-listers who attended included Justin and Hailey Bieber, as well as Kendall Jenner.

Billie has certainly packed a lot into her 21 years and here at PeopleWorld, we are sure 2023 is set to be huge for her!

Last up on PeopleWorld's hot list today is Hamza Yassin who has just won Strictly Come Dancing. Although he is set for great opportunities now when it comes to his career, I am hopeful that his openness about his dyslexia will inspire others with the condition to achieve their potential.

Now onto our not so hot list…

Taking top spot today (in a not hot way) is Jeremy Clarkson. His derogatory comments about Meghan Markle have naturally attracted widespread criticism and his own daughter Emily joined the backlash by taking to her Instagram Stories to say “I stand against everything that my dad wrote about Meghan Markle and I remain standing in support of those that are targeted with online hatred.”

Next up on PeopleWorld’s not hot list is Drake. He reportedly lost another money bet after placing $1 million on Argentina to beat France in the World Cup final in normal time. His losing streak continues as he reportedly also lost $2 million betting on former UFC champion Israel Adesanya to defend his title against Alex Pereira last month.

If losing money wasn’t bad enough, Drake also has a necklace that features 42 diamonds to represent ‘engagement rings’ for the times he almost proposed. Yes, you read that correctly! Drake has apparently thought about proposing many times, but has never done it. Oh dear, oh dear Drake.

The final person gracing our not so hot list today is Salt Bae. I positively cringed when I saw the photos of Salt Bae at the World Cup Final. The first question I asked myself was why was Salt Bae allowed to touch the trophy? And secondly, why was he on the field in the first place? He also reportedly bit Franco Armani’s medal and seemed to be pestering Lionel Messi. Salt Bae clearly deserves to feature on our not so hot list today!
