The battle between the Paul’s and the Fury’s has moved away from the boxing ring to the beverage industry as John Fury insists his son’s energy drink is better than Prime.

John Fury is the father to heavy-weight boxing champion Tyson Fury and Love Island’s Tommy Fury, who is reportedly expected to face off against American Youtuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul on 26 February after the bout was postponed twice.

However, it seems to be Jake Paul’s older brother Logan Paul has been met with a knock-out blow from father Fury as John shared a video dissing Logan’s energy drink ‘Prime’ that he created with British singer, Youtuber and boxer KSI.

John posted a video to his Instagram, commenting ‘Prime Energy Drink vs Furocity’ (Tyson’s rival drink company), before tasting the energy drink for the first time.

Despite ‘Prime’ becoming a viral craze at the moment with kids desperate to get their hands on a bottle of the beverage since it came to the UK, John seemingly was keen to get away from the drink as quickly as possible as he spat it out promptly.

He said: “Disgusting, I wouldn’t put that in my mouth. You couldn’t pay me a fiver to drink that. That was horrible - can we move on from that?”

The former bare-knuckle fighter continued to slate KSI and Logan’s ‘Prime’ by suggesting it tasted like a mix of various animal’s urine before promoting Tyson’s drink ‘Furocity’.

Furocity, named after the heavy-weight champion, hit shelves in Iceland stores from February 2022 - one month after KSI and Logan Paul announced their joint business venture with Prime Hydration.

While the former drink has been selling well, KSI and Logan Paul’s ‘Prime’ has been taking both sides of the pond by storm due to its effective online marketing strategy. Consumers have been re-selling the product for ten times the original price online, or trying to buy them en masse from stores as demand in the UK skyrocketed.

This can even be seen by Wayne and Coleen Rooney investing in a stash of Prime energy drinks for their son Kit’s seventh birthday, glimpsed in the back of the WAG’s Instagram post.

The hype around Prime has followed confusion surrounding different packaging of Prime bottles. This is believed to be down to some being produced in the US and some in the UK

Therefore, John Fury’s ‘Prime’ review to raise brand awareness to his son’s brand, seems to have missed the punch.
