Sun Sport reports that Butt could face possible jail time for smashing into a motorcyclist's leg during a collision in October 2022.

The outlet says that Butt was carelessly driving his Range Rover through Burnley, Lancashire when the incident took place. Adding that the cyclist suffered a broken left leg, which needed metal rods inserted following an operation, and severe bruising.

Butt, who admitted to the charges, could face up to two years in jail or an unlimited fine when he is sentenced on a date to be set.

Butt made a total of 411 appearances in the Premier League, but is best remembered for his time at Manchester United where he progressed through the famous Class of 92 alongside the likes of Gary Neville, Phil Neville, Paul Scholes, Ryan Giggs and David Beckham.

He currently works as the CEO of League 2 side Salford City, a club that he co-owns alongside several other members of the class of 92 including Giggs, Scholes and both Neville brothers.
