It’s already being touted as one of the most thrilling Super Bowls of all time, be it the half-time Super Bowl show revealing Rihanna is once again pregnant, to the Hollywood blockbuster style commercials that permeate television sets during half time.
On top of that, there was a game of American Football being played, as the Kansas City Chiefs toppled the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. The team was once again led by all-star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who once again scooped the MVP award for his exploits during the close game.

Super Bowl weekend is a significant time for Brittany and Patrick - it was after receiving his first Super Bowl ring in 2020 that the quarterback proposed to his high school sweetheart.
But to merely say that Brittany’s influence on her husband was merely some TLC before (and after) the game would be to discredit her as a NFL WAG, when looking into her history demonstrates both a drive in terms of her business dealings and a deeper understanding of sports that perhaps many people give her credit for.
PeopleWorld takes a look at Brittany Mahomes - wife of newly crowned Super Bowl 57 winner Patrick Mahomes and more importantly a big figure in women’s football (soccer to our American readers) in the United States.
High School romance to budding football career
High school romance with the captain of the high school football team seems to be a trope more often than not found in John Hughes movies, or a litany of US high school dramas. But in the case of Brittany and Patrick, their love endured the full gambit of education in the United States.

While Patrick later attended Texas Tech, Brittany studied at the University of Texas at Tyler, the pair were both in close proximity to one another, as the future Ms. Mahomes studied in Kinesiology alongside showing her early interest in soccer (football for the UK readers.)
Playing for the UT Tyler women’s soccer team, Brittany (then known as Matthews) was selected as WHS Offensive MVP and a first-team all-district selection during her early years, prompting her to sign a professional contract with Icelandic team UMF Afturelding/Fram. However, her interest in being a professional athlete wasn’t her calling in the end, and returned to Kansas City to be near Patrick once again in 2017.
From football player to football club owner
Instead, with her background in Kinesiology, Brittany became a certified personal trainer and fitness entrepreneur - the entrepreneurship leading to herself, Patrick, Angie and Chris Long to form the Kansas City Current, an American professional women's football team that now plays in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL).
In her profile on the Kansas City Current website, they state that Brittany is “an advocate for women in sports and a leader in the Kansas City community, Brittany has always had her eyes on bringing the NWSL back to KC. Her competitive drive and passion for the game of soccer bring a new energy to the club’s ownership group.”

She has become almost as regular a feature at the team’s home games as much as the controversial mascot for the newly crowned Super bowl 57 winners.
