Until recently, it would seem that a day, an hour, or even a minute didn’t pass when Prince Harry seemed to be everywhere. This was of course due to the publicity frenzy that he embarked upon to promote his memoir Spare.

Now that the initial furore and interest in Harry’s memoir has past, what’s next for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. The first question that has been asked however is where was Meghan Markle during Prince Harry’s publicity blaze?

Whilst Prince Harry was going (it seemed) from one TV interview to the next, Meghan Markle was conspicuously absent. The couple were last seen in public on December 7 in New York when they received the Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Award.

It is thought that one of the main reasons for Meghan Markle’s absence was to allow Prince Harry to be the focus and also to demonstrate that he is his ‘own man.’

In only a couple of months time, Prince Harry will once again be making a public appearance (and his first since Spare) at the BetterUp’s Uplift summit in San Francisco. According to Harper’s Bazaar, Harry will “join actress Issa Rae, restaurateur and TV personality David Chang, runner Robin Arzon, author Adam Grant and others to discuss ‘purpose, performance and human transformation,’ BetterUp said in a statement.”

When he stepped back as a senior member of the royal family, Prince Harry undertook a role as Chief Impact Officer at BetterUp. On their website, he revealed why he decided to join the organisation. “I firmly believe that focusing and prioritising our mental fitness unlocks potential and opportunity that we never knew we had inside of us.”

So, when will Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s next big public engagement be? There is speculation that they will be invited to King Charles’s coronation in May, (but if they do attend), they will not be asked to carry out any formal roles in the proceedings.

Although it is likely an invitation to the coronation will be extended to the couple, it is thought that they might not attend due to the fallout after Harry’s interviews and book release. Harry told ABC’s Good Morning on Britain that “There’s a lot that I can forgive, but there needs to be conversations in order for reconciliation , and part of that has to be accountability.”

However, it has recently been reported that the King has asked the Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby to broker a deal to allow Harry and Meghan to attend the Coronation, but there has been speculation that William is not keen.

According to a recent Ipsos poll, 60 per cent of adults feel that Prince Harry should be invited to the King's coronation. This may come as a surprise to many after the fall out from the Netflix docuseries and his memoir, Spare.

If Prince Harry and Meghan Markle do not attend King Charles’s coronation, they are expected to attend the 2023 Invictus Games in September of this year.

Prince Harry also has a new Netflix show based around the Invictus Games, Heart of Invictus, set to hit our TV screens this summer. “This new series from Archell Productions follows a group of extraordinary competitors from around the globe-all service members who have suffered life-changing injuries or illnesses-on their road to competing at the Invictus Games,” Netflix revealed.
