The King’s coronation is only a few weeks away (6 May) and plans for the celebration are all in place to make the day one to remember. But it seems Prince Harry and Meghan have their own plans they want to be included.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have allegedly asked that their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, be included in the plans for the day. The couple are also said to have requested that the family of four appear on the Buckingham Palace balcony with the rest of the Royal family.

At the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee the balcony was reserved for working members of the Royal family as Duke and Duchess stepped away from Royal duties in 2020 they did not appear on the balcony.

An insider told the Sun: “The Palace are trying to wrap up negotiations as quickly as possible because they can't go right up to the wire. It could lead to chaos. It could very well be that it ends in stalemate, and they won't attend. But the Palace is doing everything in its power to not let that happen.

"However, what the Sussex's are pushing for is for them to be included with the rest of the family at the Palace later that day. It's also Prince Archie's birthday on Coronation day so they would like some kind of nod to that at a lunch or drinks reception. Even if it's just a happy birthday mention."

The couple have reportedly received an invitation for the coronation but sources allege that until these requests are met they will not confirm their attendance. The only other members of the Royal family that haven't been included in the day's processions are Prince Andrew and his daughters Eugenie and Beatrice.
