A closer look at Meghan Markle's relationship with Princess Beatrice and the BFF they share

Princess Beatrice has long chosen to remain tight-lipped over the Sussexes and their recent relationship to the royal family. And it's clear to see why.

The daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson has seen her mum distance herself from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, but her sister Eugenie enjoys a well-documented close relationship with the now US-based couple.

And her dilemma - particularly surrounding Meghan - doesn't stop there either.

The 34-year-old also shares a best friend with Meghan and has dealt with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex being highly critical of her father.

PeopleWorld takes a closer look at Princess Beatrice's relationship with the Duchess of Sussex.

Beatrice has a number of mutual friends with Meghan but none are perhaps more prevalent than the 'BFF' they share in British-Bahrani fashion designer Misha Nonoo.

It is reported that Meghan met Misha through a mutual friend in Miami and the pair bonded over their work for gender equality and female empowerment.

Meanwhile, Beatrice has known Misha for years and even attended her wedding to her ex-husband Alexander Gilkes in 2012.

It is also believed that Meghan and Beatrice have attended a number of showbiz parties and royal events together over the years.

There's no denying that Beatrice has a close relationship with her father Prince Andrew, who the Sussexes haven't been shy to criticise in the wake of his now-settled sexual assault filed against him by Virginia Giuffre.

The position the Sussexes have taken in recent months with their TV docuseries and Prince Harry's revelatory book no doubt puts Beatrice in a tight spot.

She has always been known to be a loyal member of the royal family - perhaps highlighted by her wedding to Edo Mapelli Mozzi in 2020 when she chose to wear a gown from the late Queen.

Moreover, in her 2021 interview with Oprah, Meghan revealed that she had indeed met Eugenie before she began dating Harry - so perhaps she ran into her sister before the couple became serious, too.

It's unclear exactly how far back Meghan and Beatrice go as she remained unmentioned in the same interview.

Harry and Eugenie reportedly often catch up in a cousin's WhatsApp group chat.

Back in 2018, at Eugenie's wedding to Jack Brooksbank, Meghan and Harry took the opportunity to announce her first pregnancy - bombshell news which is said to have not gone down well with Fergie or the bride, given the occasion.

But despite this, in November 2022 during their Netflix show, Harry and Meghan shared an image inside Beatrice's Wendy House - a hint that they could indeed still enjoy a close bond.
