The guest list for the wedding of Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan and Rajwa Alseif has been a closely guarded secret. However, it has now been revealed that as well as the likes of Jill Biden, the Prince and Princess of Wales will also be in attendance too.

According to Tatler magazine, “William and Kate did not announce their attendance in advance, but were spotted arriving at a five-star hotel on Wednesday, ahead of the wedding ceremony today. Crown Prince Hussein and his bride will exchange vows in front of 140 guests including royals from Europe around the world, in the gardens of Zahran Palace. Prince William, 40, and Crown Prince Hussein, 28, are both graduates of Sandhurst and have spent time together over the years-including a relaxed evening watching the World Cup in Amman in 2018.”

Prince Hussein of Jordan’s parents King Abdullah and Queen Rania of Jordan clearly have a close relationship with the British Royal family as they were in attendance at King Charles’s coronation. In an interview with People, Queen Rania of Jordan said of the coronation that “It struck the perfect balance of solemnity, spectacle and spirituality. The many different traditions and rituals we saw were a reminder of Britain’s deep respect for its history, and the link between King Charles 111 and British sovereigns of centuries past.

It will be interesting to see if Finnegan Biden accompanies her grandmother Jill Biden to the wedding of Crown Prince Hussein and Rajwa Al Saif as she was her companion for their trip to the UK for King Charles’s coronation.

According to The Guardian, “In the lead-up to the wedding of the next in line to Jordan’s throne, the country has been gripped by royal fever. Photos of Saif’s henna bridal party took the internet by storm last week as she wore a white gold gown with an Arabic poetry verse embroidered in gold: “When I see you, life becomes sweet.”

Queen Rania who has 8.7 million followers on her Instagram, shared some highlights from Rajwa’s henna ceremony on 23 May. At the time of writing, no details of the bride’s dress had been released, nor had the full guest list.

Sky News reports that Crown Prince Hussein and Rajwa are marrying “at Zahran Palace-where his father King Abdullah 11 and his grandfather, the Late King Hussein, also married.” Sky News goes on to say that “Thursday’s ceremony is expected to include some of the same features as previous ceremonies, including a motorcade of red Land Rovers escorting the couple through the streets of the capital Amman after the ceremony.”

The groom’s mother, Queen Rania of Jordan has often, along with Catherine, Princess of Wales, been named as one of the most beautiful and most fashionable royals. However, she did tell Harper’s Bazaar Arabia in 2019 that “I hope it is my work that defines me, not my wardrobe.”

It will be interesting to see which designer Queen Rania of Jordan decides to wear to her son’s wedding. According to Town & Country, “For a henna party for her soon-to-be daughter in-law Rajwa Al Saif, Queen Rania wore a bespoke Saiid Kobeisy kaftan gown.”

For her daughter Princess Iman’s wedding to Jameel Alexander Thermiotis, Queen Rania wore a very elegant dress by Dior. Other designers she has worn in the past include Andrew Gn, Brandon Maxwell.
