Is Catherine, Princess of Wales embracing Barbiecore as she steps out in an all-pink trouser suit?

Catherine, Princess of Wales certainly seems to be officially a Barbiecore fan, at least if her recent wardrobe choices are anything to go by. Earlier this week, she stepped out at the Chelsea Flower Show 2023 in a pink Me+Em shirtdress, which she accessorised with Castaner Carina espadrille wedges and Catherine Zoraida’s fern drop earrings. 

And if you think one Barbiecore pink outfit was enough for the Princess of Wales this week, then think again. Today, she opted for a candy pink Alexander McQueen trouser suit, matching blouse, and the finishing touch, a belt with a pearl buckle! 

Catherine, Princess of Wales is not the only high profile star embracing the Barbiecore look. Only this week, Scarlett Johansson wore a pink Prada column dress with a peekaboo bra detail at the Cannes Film Festival 2023. 

Actress Margot Robbie, the star of Barbie, which comes out on July 21, chose the perfect Barbiecore outfit when she attended CinemaCon with director Greta Gerwig and co-stars Ryan Gosling and America Ferrera. Like Scarlett, Margot opted for Prada and chose a gingham cropped bustier top and miniskirt.

For those of you who can’t wait for the movie’s release, there is the Barbie 2023 official movie soundtrack to get excited about. With Ryan Gosling having his very own song on the soundtrack, I am sure Barbie fans can barely contain themselves right now!

If you are a Barbie fan, it certainly is a good week for you as Dua Lipa’s ‘Dance the Night,’ the lead single from Barbie: The Album, comes out tomorrow (26 May 2023) at midnight BST. When she shared the news on her Instagram, as you can imagine, fans were quick to react. One said: “Summer anthem here with go,” whilst Donatella Versace, yes Donatella Versace herself said: “She’s a Versace Barbie.”

Donatella Versace was of course referring to Dua as a Versace Barbie because she recently collaborated with her on a new collection for the fashion label, titled ‘La Vacanza’ (the holiday). According to CNN, “The collection-which debuted poolside at a topiary-filled villa in Cannes on Tuesday evening-was an intimate affair and timed to coincide with the world’s most extravagant film festival.”
