As Matt Hancock’s time in the I’m a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here came to a close, all eyes were on who would meet the disgraced MP at the end of the famous bridge. Matt Hancock reunited with Gina Colangelo after coming third in the ITV show.

Many viewers had gone into the weekend’s final questioning whether or not the politician’s girlfriend Gina Colangelo would greet him, but as Hancock made the final four Coladangelo was spotted on a beach in Australia thus confirming she would make an appearance.

Coladangelo, 45, was spotted soaking up the sun in a white bikini in an ensemble that resembled the same bikini Myleene Klass wore in the I’m A Celeb jungle back in 2006. She was joined by Lioness, and now Queen of the Jungle, Jill Scott's fiancée Shelly Unitt and Hollyoaks actor Owen Warner's mum Polly.

It seems the three women had gotten to know each other this week at luxury hotel The Marriott, where friends and family of the celebrity contestants have been staying following their arrival on the Gold Coast last week.

Matt Hancock and Gina Colangelo’s relationship came under scrutiny as their affair was outed in 2021 and led to the MP’s resignation as the UK Government’s Health Secretary. The affair was exposed when CCTV footage of Hancock kissing his now girlfriend was leaked in May 2021. Both were married to other partners at the time and had children.

However, it seems that the couple have put their messy past behind them and are moving forward together in the public eye stronger than ever.

Hancock, 44, spoke about the affair on the show to fellow campmate Babatunde Aleshe, explaining the end of his 15-year marriage to now ex-wife Martha Millar and subsequent courtship with Gina Colangelo, he said: “It is no excuse, but I fell in love. I messed up and I fessed up, I resigned. That also had a lot of other consequences obviously, that’s been hard but I brought it on myself so yeah, it has been tough.”
