Lizzo proves she is Harry Styles biggest fan at Grammys 2023 - here’s a look at their iconic friendship

Harry Styles took home one of the biggest honours of 2023, and we’re not talking about his Album of The Year Grammy win. We’re talking about getting Lizzo as the ultimate hype girl and bestie.

When Harry’s House was announced as the winner for the final award of the Grammy Awards, Styles couldn’t believe it. The stunned ‘As It Was’ singer sat for a moment with his head in his hands, and who was there to catch it all? Everyone’s favourite bestie and chart topping Queen, Lizzo.

The ‘About Damn Time’ singer was spotted filming the moment Harry won, and she couldn’t have been more thrilled from the looks of it. Styles beat an impressive bill of artists for the award including Adele, Bad Bunny and Beyonce. Lizzo was also nominated for the award with her chart-topping album ‘Special’.

However, like the icon she is, Lizzo proved there were no hard feelings between the two as she jumped to her feet the moment he was announced. She took to Twitter to tease fans about dropping the clip she filmed saying ‘Should I post?!’ and now we patiently wait.

During his speech, cameras panned back to Lizzo who looked overjoyed for her long-time pal. Lizzo also took home a win from the ‘Big Four’ categories for her smash hit ‘About Damn Time’ which won Record of the Year. After her win, Harry was seen giving her a big congratulatory hug.

It’s no secret that the pair have been fans of each other for a long time, and they have even jumped on stage with each other on a number of occasions. Fans are still desperately waiting for a duet to emerge from these two singing talents. However, their iconic Coachella performance of ‘I Will Survive’ in matching fur jackets will suffice for now.

The pair have shared multiple sweet moments throughout the years with a first glimpse at the duo’s wholesome friendship coming in 2019 when Styles covered Lizzo’s smash hit ‘Juice’ in the Radio 1 Live Lounge. Styles couldn’t speak more highly of Lizzo saying: “She’s exactly what you want an artist to be… which is yourself.”

The pair first performed together during Super Bowl Week on January 30, 2020, when Harry made a surprise appearance during Lizzo’s set to sing Juice with her. The duet had fans obsessed from the get go.

Lizzo and Harry connected again in 2022 when she attended his Love On Tour show in Chicago. Lizzo spent some time hand-in-hand with her friend backstage and shared photos of their meeting on Twitter alongside the caption: 'I had so much fun w Harry yesterday'.
