After news broke on 24 May that the legendary singer Tina Turner had passed away at the age of 83 following a long illness, fans across the globe mourned for the Queen of Rock n Roll.

‘The Best’ singer died at her home in Küsnacht, just outside Zurich, Switzerland as a post was shared on her social media stating:

“With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow. Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music. All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her family. Tina, we will miss you dearly.”

Tina’s tragic passing comes less than six months after the star mourned the death of her youngest son Ronnie Craig aged 62, who suffered from complications from colon cancer.

Ronnie, born Ronald Rennelle in October 1962, followed his mother and father Ike Turner into the world of showbiz and even appeared alongside Tina in her 1993 film ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It’.

Through Tina and Ike’s 16-year-marriage they shared three other boys - one of which was Tina’s other biological child and two of Ike’s from previous relationships who the 83-year-old adopted.

As mentioned, Tina had only two biological children namely Ronnie Turner and Craig Raymond who she gave birth to at the age of 18 with tenor saxophonist and singer Raymond Hill.

Craig spent most of his life out of the spotlight as he worked as a realtor in Beverly Hills, but he was later adopted by Ike Turner and changed his name to Craig Raymond Turner.

Despite being away from the public eye, news sadly broke in 2018 that Craig had passed away at the age of 59 by suicide.

In Tina Turner’s 2021 documentary, the ‘Proud Mary’ crooner said: “He will always be my baby.”

In addition to Ronnie and Craig, Tina cared for two of Ike’s other six children, adopting Ike Turner Jr when he was two-years-old and Michael Turner.

The former has music in his blood after winning a Grammy award in 2006 for producing his father’s album ‘Risin’ With The Blues’ but less is known about Michael as he, like Craig, did not follow in the ‘showbiz’ footsteps of their parents.

Although Michael was reportedly ‘distant’ to his mother, he alongside Ike were allegedly gutted when they were left out of her aforementioned 2021 documentary, according to Fox News.
