As Paris Fashion Week continues, Doja Cat has shown she can play the part by donning three jaw-dropping different outfits.

The 'Juicy’ singer first appeared at the Schiaparelli show in red body paint and head-to-toe Swarovski crystals, before continuing to add drama in an androgynous statement for Viktor and Rolf with stick-on eyebrows and moustache, in addition to a stunning black ensemble for Valentino.

While Doja Cat has had a successful music career with tunes ‘Say So’ and ‘Woman’ appearing in Billboard’s top 10, to name a few, her recent showcase of style could be a nod to her dream of taking on roles in television shows and movies.

Doja Cat, real name Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini, once confessed ‘I’d love to act, I’d love to be in movies - that’s a massive want for me.’

The Grammy-award winning singer has acted in her music videos and featured as a musical artist on films such as Margot Robbie’s Bird of Prey, Zendaya’s Euphoria and the Oscar nominated Elvis, but is yet to sign a deal for a production herself.

There is hope yet for Doja Cat though, as acting is in her blood, with her estranged father Dumisani Dlamini being a hugely successful South African actor, composer and film producer.

Dumisani was said to have moved back to South Africa to pursue his acting career when Doja Cat was a baby, and has notably starred in both the 1992 movie ‘Safarina’ alongside Whoopi Goldberg and the Broadway rendition of the musical.

Doja spoke of her father in an interview saying: “I have never even met him, and he’s on Instagram. He’s an incredible dancer and great actor, but yeah, I don’t know him very well.”

Despite not having a close relationship to her father, it seems that she has picked up some of his musical and acting talents, as she has now collaborated with the likes of Ariana Grande, SZA, The Weeknd and her idol Nicki Minaj.

One musical star Doja Cat is being compared to is Lady Gaga with Vogue suggesting that her ‘truly domineering’ red carpet looks echo that of the Hold My Hand singer.

If Doja Cat is aiming for a job in the acting industry, Lady Gaga will also serve as a true inspiration, as the latter has made a mega transition to being a critically acclaimed actress in addition to musician.

Lady Gaga has acting credits to her name including A Star is Born, House of Gucci and American Horror Story, but has also continued her musical dominance by selling out concerts on her Chromatica tour and gaining a second Oscar nomination for her Top Gun Maverick song.

Perhaps the kingpin of musicians turning to acting is the ‘Queen of Pop’ herself Madonna, who took on roles in A League of Their Own and Swept Away. Madonna celebrates her 40th anniversary in the music industry this year, but has proven that she is a triple threat with her acting over the four decades.

Lastly, a more recent inspiration for Doja Cat could be Mr Harry Styles, who after finding fame through boy band One Direction and then skyrocketed in his solo career, has signed on to huge projects like Dunkirk, Don’t Worry Darling and My Policeman.

In light of this, ‘Don’t Worry Doja’ - you are no doubt on the right path to having your acting dream come true.
