She is known as one of the biggest selling Canadian artists in the world and today Céline Dion is turning 55. The singer is often referred to as the ‘Queen of the Power Ballads' with songs like ‘My Heart Will Go On’ from the film Titanic, ‘It’s All Coming Back To Me Now’ and 'Because You Loved Me'. Which are just a few of her greatest hits from her Grammy Award winning back catalogue.

The global superstar has sold over 220 million albums worldwide according to Forbes and has performed at her Las Vegas residency for over years 15 years.

Last year the singer revealed that she had been diagnosed with a rare neurological disorder called stiff person syndrome. The condition which affects one in a million causes stiffness to the arms and in the singer's case muscle spasms. Céline shared the news in an Instagram video and explained: “I’ve been dealing with problems with my health for a long time, and it’s been really difficult for me to face these challenges and to talk about everything that I’ve been going through…It hurts me to tell you that I won’t be ready to restart my tour in Europe in February.”

Her rarely seen sons Rene-Charles, 21, and twins Nelson and Eddy, 12 have continued to show their support for their mother through her illness. Céline's husband and the boys father René Angélil sadly passed away in 2016 from throat cancer. Since his death the boys have been there for their mother, celebrating special occasions as a family and she has even taken them on tour with her. Eldest son Rene-Charles is a musician but unlike the power ballads his mother sings he is more into his rap music.

The Canadian songstress doesn’t often post pictures of her sons but now and then we do see glimpses into their happy family life. In an image shared on Mother’s Day 2022 the singer is seen with all three sons celebrating the day together. Sitting around a table and cake the mum of three explained how ‘fortunate’ she felt being able to spend the days with her sons.
