As Zach Braff goes to dinner with ex-girlfriend Florence Pugh’s parents, a look at Florence’s dating history

‘Don’t Worry’, Florence Pugh has nothing to fret about after working with her ex-boyfriend Zach Braff on the upcoming movie ‘A Good Person’.

The pair who dated between 2019 and 2022 were seen at the film’s screening in New York on Monday evening, with Florence starring alongside Morgan Freeman in the Braff-directed drama.

Despite confirming that they broke things off just seven months ago, the two actors seemed on good terms with Zach even reportedly going out for dinner with Florence’s parents after the event.

Zach and Florence last worked together in 2019 for a YouTube short film and since then, the 27-year-old actress has starred alongside several heartthrobs including Timothee Chalamet in Little Women and Harry Styles in the infamous Olivia Wilde thriller.

Ahead of Florence’s latest work with Zach hitting cinemas in the US on 24 March, PeopleWorld takes a look at the Oscar nominated actress’ short but sweet relationship history:

Zach Braff

Dating in the 21st century most likely starts online and for Florence and Zach, this trend was no different.

After first connecting on social media when Zach tweeted about Florence’s performance in Lady Macbeth, the pair then worked together on the short film In The Time It Takes To Get There, before taking their relationship public in April 2019 when they were first seen displaying PDA in New York City.

Their relationship remained in the public eye as fans criticised the age gap between Florence and Zach, with the British actress often responding to the backlash - "I am 24 years old. I do not need you to tell me who I should and should not love and I would never in my life tell anyone who they can and cannot love. It is not your place.”

Florence and Zach not only quarantined together but also adopted a pooch called Billie before marriage rumours started to circulate.

However, shortly after reports suggested the pair had tied the knot, Florence announced that they had separated while she was shooting her Harper’s Bazaar September cover, stating: “We’ve been trying to do this separation without the world knowing, because it’s been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on.” 

Will Poulter

Before Florence confirmed her split with Zach in August 2022, the Midsommar actress denied rumours that she was dating her former co-star Will Poulter after the pair were spotted on holiday together.

Will, who is known from the likes of Maze Runner and We’re The Millers, was snapped hanging out with Florence on the beach in Ibiza in May 2022.

Almost immediately after the pictures were posted to media outlets, Florence took to her Instagram stories to shut down the rumours insisting they went on holiday as friends.

Charlie Gooch

Charlie Gooch is a South London photographer known as Guy Gooch who first crossed paths with Florence in June 2021 when he photographed the Black Widow actress during the press tour.

Charlie shared pictures of Florence on his Instagram in 2021, commenting how ‘excited’ he was to be a part of the Black Widow journey and citing that their friendship struck up from that point.

The pair were then seen together again in December 2022 following the British Fashion Awards, where they partied after the ceremony and were pictured leaving the hotel the next morning.

While Charlie was cited as a ‘friend’ in December, romance rumours sparked a couple of months later when he and Florence held hands on Valentine’s Day and were spotted wearing matching bands on their ring fingers.

Florence also revealed she had bought a place in South London during an interview with Vogue, which means the couple live in the same area.
