As a minority stakeholder in Mint Mobile, Ryan Reynolds is now even more ‘minted’ as the mobile virtual network operator has now been acquired by T-Mobile in a deal worth up to $1.35 billion.

The Deadpool actor has embedded himself in multiple ventures over the past few years including becoming a co-owner of Wrexham FC, Aviation Gin and Mint Mobile, in addition to taking on roles in big Hollywood productions and sponsorship deals.

But despite being one of the highest-grossing actors of all time generating around $60 million from the Deadpool franchise alone, these additional ventures have earned him massive pay days as of recent - PeopleWorld takes a look at how much money Ryan Reynolds has made outside of the silver screen:

Mint Mobile

Ryan took on a 20-25% stake in Mint Mobile in 2019 and although his buying price is not known, the company’s selling price as of 2023 means that Ryan walked away with a nine-figure payday.

T-Mobile bought the prepaid business for $1.35 billion in March 2023 when it took over Ka’ena Corp and its subsidiaries, acquiring the brands’ sales, marketing and digital services, while insisting it will run as a separate business unit.

Despite being bought out by T-Mobile, Ryan will remain at the company in a creative role and tweeted his excitement at the sale: “I never dreamt I'd own a wireless company and I certainly never dreamt I'd sell it to T-Mobile. Life is strange and I'm incredibly proud and grateful."

Known for his wit, Ryan also appeared in a video alongside T-Mobile’s CEO Mike Sievert to welcome the Free Guy star to the company.

Aviation Gin

Much like the name of his gin company, Ryan’s net worth took flight in 2020 when the Aviation American Gin brand was acquired by Diageo LLC for a reported $610 million.

Ryan has had a minority ownership of the brand since 2018 and utilised his Hollywood platform to raise awareness and funds for the alcohol company within two years.

It has been reported that Ryan earned $67 million pre-tax for Aviation American’s acquisition and gets a further $55 million in milestone payments for the next decade.

Wrexham FC

As Ryan reached Cloud 9 with Aviation Gin’s price in 2020, the 46-year-old may have spent some of the small fortune to buy Wrexham FC with his close friend Rob McElhenney for around £2 million in February 2021.

They allegedly first approached the Wrexham Football Association in September 2020 but the deal was finalised five months later.

In addition to owning the club, the pair developed a documentary for Disney+ called Welcome to Wrexham which raked in almost £4 million in total, meaning a profit of £430,000 per episode for the large corporation.

With Ryan’s successful business ventures over the past five years, the Deadpool star has now more than doubled his net worth from $150 million to $350 million at the start of 2023.
