There may be some confusion as to why there has been such an uproar regarding the eating habits of one Capital FM breakfast host Roman Kemp. So the host decided to eat something that wasn’t of great nutritional value (so our personal trainers have told us), is that such a big deal? Yes if you’re calorie counting, perhaps no if you have got a sweet tooth…

… but given the fact that the confectionary item in question could have been worth anything between £5,000 and £10,000 is why the host was showered in commiserations while others have experienced perhaps the first case of schadenfreude in their lives. For this was no mere Faberge egg but instead one of the rare Cadbury Creme Eggs, as part of a promotional deal where consumers could win £10,000 for finding the particular egg in question.

Roman Kemp did just that but was not familiar with the promotion that is currently being run, as he shared a picture of the half-dark chocolate, half-white chocolate concoction to his fans on social media.

“What is this??? HALF WHITE HALF MILK CHOCOLATE?? @CadburyUK," the presenter wrote on social media, the remnants of its packaging screen in front of him as he watched TV.

Those more familiar with Cadbury’s promotional campaign quickly responded to Kemp: “Erm you’ll find that might be worth up to £10K No joke!! Hope you haven’t ate it!!" one Twitter user commented, which elicited the response from Kemp: "I have already eaten it and people are saying it's worth £10k [...] What do I do now? Helppppppppp". Then, including a crying face emoji, he added: "People saying it's a prank or that I've Tippexed it. I F******** wish".

Cadbury has once again launched its competition to find an elusive ‘half-and-half’ Creme Egg across the nation, running until April 9 2023, with a number of half-milk and half-white chocolate Creme Eggs concealed inside regular wrappers and hidden around the UK. Five of the eggs are worth a whopping £10,000, while four have a prize value of £5,000 and an assortment of other eggs are worth between £50 to £1,000.

The campaign, titled “How Do You Not Eat Yours” is a play on the original, incredibly popular promotional campaign which begged the question to customers; “how do you eat yours” in terms of the best strategy to eat a cream egg.

Perhaps Roman should have gone with the first option from this classic 2022 advert and extracted the filling first. We are slightly concerned though that Kemp could be one of those cream egg savages who eats the whole thing in one go; could explain the lack of realising he was about to put £10,000 in his mouth on a Sunday evening.
