The sky’s the limit for Kim Kardashian who continues to expand her business ventures by teaming up with Jay Sammons, a former executive at the private equity firm Carlyle Group, in their own firm, ‘SKKY Partners’.

Playing on the SKIMS founder’s initials, SKKY Partners was launched last September to make minority investments in ‘high-growth, market-leading consumer and media companies’ focusing on hospitality, luxury, e-commerce and digital groups.

Kim joined forces with Jay Sammons to be both co-founders and co-partners, and has even brought ‘momager’ Kris Jenner on as a partner for the firm.

In September, Kim wrote: “I'm excited to launch SKKY Partners to invest in the next generation of consumer brands, leveraging my experience founding and building global businesses and partnering with innovative companies to help them grow.”

Fast-forward five months as Kim was seen in Miami, Florida on Tuesday, in what can be described as ‘sexy business chic’ with a combination of a blazer and tight leather trousers, as she discussed SKKY Partners in more depth at this year’s iConnections Global Alts Conference.

Jay Sammons, who famously backed Scooter Braun’s purchase of Taylor Swift’s master recordings in 2019, was also in attendance when chatting to iConnections CEO Ron Biscardi.

Although Jay Sammons is an industry veteran in the world of Private Equity, Kim has more than enough experience in building a successful business evident by her beauty and fashion endeavours such as SKIMS and SKKN.

Kim’s recent business endeavours have skyrocketed her net worth from $900 million to $1.8 billion in just over two years, according to Forbes, while the 42-year-old has also explored more ‘serious’ pursuits as seen by passing the ‘Baby Bar’ exam in December 2022, following in the footsteps of her lawyer father, Robert Kardashian.

The social media influencer and businesswoman touched on her experience in an interview with Good Morning America, where she said:

"I feel like I have had the blessings of being successful growing my businesses and there's nothing that's been more satisfying when you have this passion of knowing how to start a company from start to finish...I really just want to help other companies...partnering with Jay Sammons, who knows a lot of the financial side but then me on the other side that can really give all the input on how to expand and grow your business."

Despite SKKY Partners being only a few months old and yet to announce an investment, Kim and Jay’s business comes after a long line of celebrity Private Equity launches including that of Jay-Z, Ashton Kutcher and Serena Williams.
