As Kate Middleton stepped out yesterday in Merseyside with Prince William, the questions on most people's lips were related to Prince Harry's astonishing memoir 'Spare'. It was the first time the Prince and Princess of Wales had been seen since the book was released.

But her striking tarten coat seemed to bring attention back to a topic of conversation Kate Middleton is never far from. Her outfit choices and what she was wearing.

The coat - which features oversized pockets and golden buttons - isn't a new item in Kate's wardrobe. She recycled the coat after previously wearing it last month to plant a tree in memory of Queen Elizabeth II.

It is coat designed by luxury British fashion brand Holland Cooper and it isn't the first time Kate has worn it. She's a known fan of the brand and notably wore a similar coat at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, Scotland in May, 2021.

And Kate isn't the only fashion influencer wearing Holland Cooper. Former Love Island contestant Gemma Owen is another fan and also a brand ambassador for Holland Cooper's equestrian line.

Before her fame on the ITV show, Gemma Owen enjoyed a successful international dressage youth career, representing Britain at the European Junior Championships in Spain during 2021.

Gemma Owen has been seen wearing coats, fleeces, and trousers designed by the brand.

Holland Cooper specialises in womenswear, kidswear, and equestrian clothing. The brand was established in 2008 by designer Jade Holland Cooper and seemingly plugged a gap in the market for contemporary tweed wear.

On its website, Jade describes how the brand came about. A statement reads: "In 2008, I stood in a field at Badminton Horse Trials with an idea called Holland Cooper, this consisted of 30 mini-skirts and a 2-meter stand. From that day forward, I never looked back. I truly believe, if you want to achieve something badly enough, you can and you will."

"I wanted to harness a style that lasts forever, the investment piece, this is not a trend it’s a way of life."

"I have no interest in chasing fashion, what I am interested in is creating beautiful timeless clothes for women that can be worn in every aspect of life."

Other celebrities known to wear the brand include Vogue Williams, Mike Tindall, and Nick Knowles. It's a brand that is often spotted at the annual Cheltenham Festival.
