Who were the worst dressed at the Baftas 2023? Anya Taylor-Joy and Ellie Goulding are on the list

There were undoubtedly some winners when it came to their fashion looks on the red carpet at the Baftas 2023, but there were unfortunately some losers too. Top of the worst dressed at the awards ceremony has to go to Anya Taylor-Joy.

The actress Anya Taylor-Joy is a formidable actress and I certainly am a fan of some of her quirky fashion choices. However, her outfit for the Baftas 2023 was a big no no for me.

The Queen's Gambit star went for a Schiaparelli brown velvet dress with bows attached. However, the matching shawl over her head did not enhance the outfit but instead detracted from it. Wearing a blanket over your head however is clearly all the rage as who can forget Billie Eilish and boyfriend Jesse Rutherford wrapped up in a Gucci blanket at the LACMA Art+Film Gala?

Another celebrity who did not win any fashion plaudits on the night was singer Ellie Goulding. Unusual sleeves can add a dramatic twist to a dress, but unfortunately this was not the case for Ellie. The sleeves were loose fitting and only added to the peculiarity of the gown.

One more red carpet dress that did not work was the one worn by Andreea Cristea. It certainly drew gasps of amazements, but unfortunately for all the wrong reasons.

Another big no no when it came to fashion outfits was the dress worn by JR Hawbaker. I am all for eclectic styles but the costume designer’s gown shape and style was nothing short of a fashion disaster.
